One-Year-Old Classroom

Our exciting adventures in the one-year-old classroom begin with providing a safe and nurturing environment where children can explore the world around them. At Sunshine Bright Kids, we believe that children learn best through play. Through hands-on exploration, children are encouraged to discover their classroom while building confidence and curiosity.

In this stage, children begin developing important social and emotional skills, such as learning to interact with peers, express their needs, and identify their emotions. We also support language development and introduce simple life skills, including self-feeding, self-soothing, and following daily routines.

While we recognize that every child develops at their own pace, we understand the importance of meeting key developmental milestones. To support this growth, we focus on positive interactions, mindfulness, and building strong, individualized relationships with each child. This allows us to nurture their strengths while supporting areas where they may need extra guidance.

Our lesson plans are thoughtfully designed to reflect the interests and needs of the children, creating a classroom environment that is engaging, child-directed, and full of fun.

Two-Year-Old Classroom

As children grow from one to two years old, they experience a seamless transition into our Tender Times classroom. Here, they continue to thrive in the same nurturing environment, learning through play and exploration.

In the Tender Times classroom, learning begins with strengthening social-emotional skills. Children are guided as they explore and manage big emotions, gain independence, build self-help skills, form friendships, and begin using their words to solve problems.

As their confidence grows, so does their learning. Children are introduced to foundational concepts such as letter recognition and sounds, colors, counting, and number recognition. We continue to support each child’s development both individually and within the group setting.

Children also engage in meaningful, real-life activities that encourage creativity and imagination. Through dramatic play, block exploration, storytelling, and hands-on art experiences, they begin to express themselves and explore the world around them through child-directed learning.

Three-Year-Old Classroom

The transition into the preschool classroom is an exciting milestone, and we are proud to welcome your three-year-old into a space filled with fun, learning, growing independence, and increased structure and responsibility.

In our Caterpillars classroom, we continue to support both individual and group development while building on foundational skills. Children begin exploring new concepts such as spelling and tracing their names, early reading skills, and developing a deeper understanding of numbers and quantities.

We also place a strong emphasis on social-emotional growth. Children are guided in developing conflict resolution skills, practicing self-regulation, and learning to play cooperatively with their peers. Through these experiences, they continue to build meaningful relationships and strengthen their confidence in a supportive and engaging environment.

Four-Year-Old (Pre-K) Classroom

At last, we reach our Pre-K classroom, where children begin preparing for the exciting transition to kindergarten. While we continue to believe that children learn best through play, the Butterflies classroom offers a more structured environment with a strong focus on kindergarten readiness.

Social-emotional development plays a key role in preparing for this next step. Children continue to build important skills such as speaking in complete sentences, developing self-regulation strategies to manage their emotions, and practicing independence through everyday tasks like sharing, using the bathroom, cleaning up, and dressing themselves.

In our safe and nurturing environment, children also strengthen their academic foundation. They practice counting to 100, recognizing number quantities, writing their names, and continuing to build early reading skills. In addition, they are introduced to new concepts such as rhyming, sentence structure, and sorting and classifying.

Each day includes opportunities for free play, where teachers engage children with open-ended questions to encourage critical thinking, creativity, and meaningful relationship-building.

Summer Camp (Age 5 & Up)

Our Summer Camp program is designed to provide children with a season full of fun, friendship, and lasting memories. Through engaging weekly themes, in-house visitors, and exciting field trips, children enjoy a well-rounded experience that is both fun and educational—without feeling like school.

Children are encouraged to create, explore, and unwind in our spacious classroom environment, which promotes independence, personal growth, and self-confidence. Our program is thoughtfully designed to give children the freedom to express themselves while building new skills and forming meaningful connections.
